WALTER CLARK LEGAL GROUP PAYS FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND RIDES

August 23, 2022

Walter Clark Legal Group’s Safe Ride Home Program is covering the fare for inebriated drivers who wisely choose to take cabs and rideshares home this Labor Day Weekend instead of getting back behind the wheel after drinking at local bars and parties. Friday, September 2, to Monday, September 5, from 10 p.m. each night to 3 a.m. the next day, drivers who unexpectedly find themselves with a blood alcohol content (BAC) level over the legal limit should leave their car
where it is and get a ride home. Walter Clark Legal Group will reimburse the rider for the Uber, Lyft, or taxi ride.  Walter Clark, founding attorney of Walter
Clark Legal Group, imparts this disturbing statistic: “According to the Center for Disease Control, California currently suffers more annual alcohol-related harm than any other state.” Clark continues, “SB 930 – which would permit Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Coachella bars, nightclubs, and restaurants to serve alcohol until 4:00 AM instead of 2:00 AM – would make community-based public services like our Safe Ride Home Program even more vital than it already is. Be aware that in California we are not allowed to sue bars or any business making money from overserving patrons when a patron drives impaired and hurts or kills another.”

To participate in the Safe Ride Home Program, a person must request a reimbursement coupon online before the holiday. Instructions on how to request a reimbursement coupon and collect reimbursement, along with other program participation requirements, can be found at WalterClark.com/holiday.
