PALM DESERT, CA – August 9, 2023 – The Family YMCA of the Desert is excited to announce the 36th edition of the beloved Hoedown in Paradise, on Saturday, November 4th, 2023. A night to celebrate Passsion & Purpose, at the rebranded Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa.
Hoedown in Paradise is Y’s signature fundraising event to support Family YMCA of the Desert’s program services across the valley. The evening will be filled with camaraderie, cocktails, an island themed dinner, raffle prizes, and more! Guests can also participate in the silent and live auctions, with items donated by our generous community businesses. The Family YMCA of the Desert is the largest provider of licensed childcare in the Coachella Valley, in addition to providing many opportunities in youth and family programming. The primary focus of the Y is to reinforce caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and inclusion while helping kids to develop social skills, confidence, leadership, and fitness.
In 2022-2023, the YMCA of the Desert served over 12,000 individuals. From infants to seniors, our services benefit everyone by positively impacting schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and the local community. The Y brings people together in the pursuit of healthy activities – building connections, strengthening families, and improving the overall quality of life one child at a time.
All proceeds from Hoedown in Paradise directly benefit the Y’s program services in order to provide financial assistance to families in need. Contour Dermatology is named title sponsor, alongside Susie & Wayne Harvey, and Cindy Pieper, State Farm Insurance Agency, who have secured dinner wine and décor for the evening.
