The McCallum Theatre is the premier performing arts venue serving the Coachella Valley, presenting more than 100 performances annually, with artists from the worlds of Broadway, comedy, dance, storytelling, and a whole lot of music, ranging from classical and jazz to rock and pop.
The theatre has been an integral part of our Valley’s history since it celebrated its Grand Opening in 1988 with a nationally televised all-star gala tribute to Bob Hope – a star-studded event that featured performances by Van Cliburn, Lucille Ball, Sarah Brightman, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, before a star-studded theatre audience including such luminaries as Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Gerald and Betty Ford, Walter and Leonore Annenberg, and many more.
Formally established in 1997, the McCallum Theatre’s Education Department has left an indelible mark on the community, impacting over one million students and residents through enriching arts education performance experiences.
Guided by the visionary leadership of Chairman Garry Kief and President/CEO/Artistic Director Mitch Gershenfeld, the McCallum Theatre will soon announce its 2024-2025 Season lineup, which promises to be one of the most successful in the Theatre’s 37-year history.
