We are pleased to announce our second Ambassador of the Year, Diane Taub! Diane spent her entire adult life giving back and helping others. Starting her passion for children when she decided to become an elementary school teacher and then becoming a Guidance Counselor at the high school level.
For 35 years Diane has devoted to helping teen-agers navigate the difficult waters of puberty and being an adolescent in both the United States and Canada. She lived and worked in the Toronto School system receiving many honors and awards.
When her second marriage brought her to Los Angeles in 1998, Diane worked as a guidance counselor in Los Angeles Unified School District where she created and taught parenting workshops helping each side understand the other.
Diane then became the Coordinator of Student Leadership training at the elite private school, Harvard-Westlake, where she created and initiated a very successful Peer Support program.
As the age of computers and technology evolved, she started a computer consulting business. She is now helping senior citizens set up their computers and teaching them how to use it. Having retired from teaching over 15 years ago, and having always been physically active, she learned and committed herself to her latest passion- health and wellness.
12 years ago Diane was introduced to Arbonne International, a health and wellness company, by her lifelong friend in Toronto who had a serious bout of melanoma. She needed to find products that were totally toxin free and safe to use. When she visited Diane in LA and gifted her their products, Diane was hooked!
Becoming an Ambassador with the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce has truly been a highlight for Diane since moving to the desert almost 3 years ago. Diane is also involved with several Women’s groups where she can mentor younger women and find ways to network and meet extraordinary women in the Coachella Valley.
In between Diane’s love and passion for pickleball, mah jongg and bridge her goal still is foster a positive mindset that hopefully helps all people and communities flourish. A goal Diane has had since her earliest days as a high school guidance counselor.
