The City of Rancho Mirage’s Official Award Winning Band is hosting a FREE Concert April 21st, 2023 at the Helene Galen Performing Arts Center at Rancho Mirage High School featuring the Symphonic Band & Jazz Ensemble. Composer Aaron Don McMichael will be joining us as an Artist in Residence. There will be a Special Awards Presentation. Seating is limited and first come, first serve. Hope to see you there.
The Rancho Mirage High School Band competed at the 2023 WorldStrides Hollywood Music Festival March 31st-April 1st and won their 2nd Consecutive National Title with the Grand Sweepstakes.
Rancho Mirage High School Music Program collaborating with music groups from CCHS and DHSHS earned the 2023 Grand Sweepstakes RMHS Symphonic Band earned a 1st place Gold rating
RMHS Symphonic Band was invited to the 2025 Festival of Gold for being one of the top music programs in the Country.
RMHS Jazz Ensemble earned a 1st place Gold rating
Maestro Soloist Award- Mr. Zander Antonacci (trumpet)- Georgia on my Mind & Running of the Bulls
Maestro Soloist Award- Mr. Cristian Resendiz (alto sax)- I Dreamed a Dream
Maestro Soloist Award- Mr. Carlos Jaimes (alto sax)- Running of the Bulls
Maestro Soloist Award- Mr. Aaron William of DHSHS (drum set)- Running of the Bulls
As a result of all the success the RMHS Band has been invited to perform in Japan June 12-23, 2023.
The band is currently raising funds to support 60 students and 10 chaperones for this once in a life time trip.
The cost is $6,000 per student.
