The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce is now seeking a Member Relations and Marketing Coordinator to assist in heavy administrative support, marketing and communications efforts for the chamber, members and community. This person will be the first impression over the phone and as guests walk into our offices.

Summary:
The Member Relations and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for administrative support for the entire team, executing marketing, communications, and member relations strategies for the Chamber of Commerce. This includes answering the phone, welcoming guests, contacting members, adding press releases and events to the Chamber’s website, social media presence/scheduling, creating, and distributing marketing materials, and coordinating member communications and events. The coordinator also works closely with the Director of Operations and Communications on administrative work for members, and to ensure that members are getting the most out of their membership and hear from us regularly.

The chamber is outgoing, warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We work quickly, swiftly and with great care. Customer service and kindness are key.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be the welcoming arm for guests and calls.
Provide administrative support to the staff.
Update the Chamber’s website and social media presence, including posting content, engaging with followers, and running social media campaigns.
Coordinate member events, such as networking events, educational workshops, and ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and newsletters, to promote the Chamber and its events.
Invoicing.
Work with the Operations and Communications Director to retain members, and to ensure that members are getting the most out of their membership.
Communicate often with Members.
Update the Chamber’s membership database.
Develop and implement marketing and member relations strategies to promote the Chamber and its members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in marketing or member relations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
Experience with website content management systems is a plus.
Ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
Accuracy is very important.
