Rancho Mirage, CA: Supervisor V Manuel Perez facilitated a meeting on Friday in Palm Desert with local chambers and dignitaries from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Among them was Guadalajara Chamber Director Carlos Ibarra Rubio and Chamber President Xavier Orendain De Obeso who shared ideas with our local chambers about economic development topics: direct flights connecting to Palm Springs or Thermal to Jalisco, a delegation trip, travel programs, education and the start of a possible trade agreement.
“I’ve been working on having this great meeting for two years”, said Supervisor.
Rancho Mirage Chamber Executive Director Katie Stice was in attendance, collaborating on ideas to bring more business to the valley. “It was a great meeting and the start of a great partnership which has the potential for real impact on both areas.” – Stice added.
