Rancho Mirage, CA. – The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce has seen a membership jump and reached a milestone this week of 500 active chamber members – and a record 60 joined this summer.

During the pandemic, chamber services were swift to address changing business concerns, safety, resources for loans and grants, and they were constantly relaying information and news while staying present and visible throughout the uncertain time.
“We showed up when the community needed us most and that mattered a great deal to everyone. Now, we’re keeping the momentum going by staying relevant and in touch and in tune with our community. The services we are providing are valuable and inevitably local businesses want to be a part of it. There is a special synergy here.” – Katie Stice, IOM, Chief Executive Officer
Stice accepted the position as President and CEO in December of 2018 and the organization has seen growth ever since. The staff leadership has an impressive 37 years of local chamber experience.
The 500th chamber member is Jocelyn Corominas, Luxury Home Specialist, Keller Williams/Zwemmer Realty Group, who was thrilled by the milestone news and said: “I’m so excited about my membership with the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce and to be the 500th member! I’m looking forward to this partnership and building new relationships.”
The chamber has been in operation since 1955 and has a fun history, which includes a thank-you letter from Lucille Ball on Desilu Productions Inc. letterhead after the Board Chairman made her Honorary Mayor in 1964. 
“It’s a remarkable community with a rich history and bright future,” Stice adds, “I’d like to thank our volunteer leadership and staff Anne Blalock, Director of Business Development and Dawn Nygren, Director of Operations and Events for their incredible work and dedication.”
