The Best of the Desert program polls the local community to select the best businesses and organizations in the area. Through nominations and voting, they choose in more than 150 categories in Beauty & Health, Clothing, Dining, Entertainment & Leisure, Home, Home Services & Finance, Kids & Education, Media, People & Places, Services, Shopping, Spirits, Sports, Top Employer and Vehicles Dealers & Services.
The 2022 Best of the Desert Awards Gala was held on December 9 at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa.
Our very own President & Chief Executive Officer, Katie Stice, was honored as “Person of the Year” and shares her thanks here:
Thank you, Coachella Valley! I’m honored to have been voted as Person of the Year by the readers of The Desert Sun. Many of you know me from my roles in our community as President/CEO of the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of the Board for the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert, Rotary, or Treasurer for Leadership Coachella Valley. I adore our desert community and am committed to putting my skills to work in support of the incredible destination which we call home.
The Chamber is a champion for local business, a catalyst for growth and a convener of leaders and influencers. Our success comes from a dedicated staff, Dawn Nygren and Anne Blalock, a strong board of directors, the hardworking Ambassador team, partners like the City of Rancho Mirage and a Membership made up of business owners, developers, and professionals who bring unmatched talent, skills, and resources to the Coachella valley.
The truth is, if you are also stepping up to lead, volunteer and give support – I share this honor with you!
