Palm Desert, CA – McCallum Theatre is accepting entries for OPEN CALL TALENT PROJECT! Don’t miss your chance to perform live at the McCallum. This highly-anticipated Valley-wide competition is a perfect opportunity to showcase the talents of local singers, dancers, musicians, jugglers, magicians, comedians or any other self-contained novelty act.
Free to enter – open to young and old. Applicants must be at least 8 years of age and reside within a 45-mile radius of the McCallum. The deadline to enter is January 6, 2025. Visit https://www.mccallumtheatre.org/open-call-participation/ to review entry details and complete the application process, providing a link per performance piece entered. Based on video entry, a select number of performers will be invited to attend a live audition.
Finalists, chosen from live auditions, will appear on stage at the McCallum Theatre in two visually stunning and energy filled performances with a full cast finale on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at 2pm & 7pm. McCallum audiences participate in voting for their favorite act. The audience vote carries the weight of one judge’s vote in the final performance where winners will be announced. Cash prizes are awarded to the grand prize ($5000), 2nd place ($2500) audience favorite ($2500) and talent achievement ($750) award winners. All Open Call finalists will receive a cash stipend.
