The Lunar New Year is one of the more important holidays in the Asian culture. The Chinese New Year celebrates the first day of the first month on the Chinese calendar. The dates according to the Western calendar of the Chinese New Year move each year, but always land between January 21st and February 20th. Each year has an animal associated with it. 12 animals representing the 12 months of the year. Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, Rat, and the Ox.
Come and celebrate the Year of the Dragon, a symbol of power, vitality, goal-oriented yet idealistic and romantic, at The River on Saturday, February 10th, from 11am-6pm. The only event of its kind in the area, it is not to be missed!
Located at 71800 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, 92270 throughout The River.
