Ernest Health announced today that Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern California is the new name of the medical rehabilitation hospital formerly called Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Rancho Mirage.
The 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opened in 2018 and provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. The facility is a joint venture with Eisenhower Health.
“The hospital is owned in part by Ernest Health and remains a joint venture with Eisenhower Health,” explains Jake Socha, President, Ernest Health. “Ernest Health now manages the facility, and we believe the new name more accurately reflects the connection to our organization and to the broader community the hospital serves.”
Patients often travel to receive the specialized care provided at the hospital, coming from places like San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
“There are few facilities offering this higher level of rehabilitative care in the larger region,” says Rachelle Spencer, CEO, Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern California. “We’ve had patients come from as far as 300 miles away because we’re conveniently located and offer easy access to many outlying cities.”
