[Rancho Mirage, CA] – Building Bridges for Special Needs and the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert are excited to announce a first-of-its-kind inclusive community event: the Arts & Crafts Holiday Shopping Village. This event will showcase the artistic talents of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities alongside those of local community artists, just in time for the holiday season.
The Arts & Crafts Holiday Shopping Village aims to promote inclusion, celebrate diversity, and provide a welcoming space for all community members to come together and support the newly re-imagined museum which includes awareness to the sensitivity needs of many with Autism.
The proceeds will benefit the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert, furthering their mission to inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in children of all abilities.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm at The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert, 71-701 Gerald Ford Dr, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Visitors can expect to find a wide variety of unique, handmade arts and crafts perfect for holiday gifts. Vendor, Artist and Sponsorships are still available!
