A special introduction to RELAX Wines with tastings and light bites is planned for March 18 at Acqua supporting Rancho Mirage High School’s Musical Theatre University
February 27, 2020 (RANCHO MIRAGE) – RELAX Wines, the refreshing, new imported varietals and bubblys soon to be served exclusively in the Coachella Valley at Lulu California Bistro in Palm Springs and at Acqua California Bistro in Rancho Mirage, will be previewed on Wednesday, March 18, at a tasting in Acqua’s River Room. This event is open to the public and supports David Green’s Musical Theatre University at Rancho Mirage High School.
“We’re excited to be adding the full line of RELAX Wines to our lists at Lulu and Acqua,” said restaurateur Jerry Keller. “These imported varietals and bubblys are easy to drink and we’re confident that they’ll pair well with the delicious food offered on our many extensive menus.”

The RELAX Wines event at Acqua is from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 18, and includes tastings of all seven varietals and light bites from Acqua’s kitchen. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $18 and a portion of each ticket sale will be given to David Green’s Musical Theatre University (MTU). MTU will also perform at the event.

David Green’s Musical Theatre University is the most intensive and comprehensive, pre-professional training ground in the performing and creative arts for 60 talented young people a year , grades 8-13, with aspirations for careers in theatre selected by audition from throughout the Coachella Valley and neighboring counties and communities. The Coachella Valley campus at Rancho Mirage High School is sponsored and presented by the Palm Springs Unified School District along with generous donations from our community and at no cost to the students or their families.
Since July 2019, MTU’s students and alums have performed in weekly dinner theatre performances at Acqua’s River Room in two specially-created and unique shows, Broadway at The River and Musicals on Mondays. An ever-changing cast of Broadway “friends” join in the performances which have delighted hundreds of fans. The shows will continue throughout 2020. Support for these performances comes from the City of Rancho Mirage, The Westin Mission Hills, Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa, and Acqua California Bistro and its founder Jerry Keller.
Acqua is open daily from 8am to 9pm, with later hours on weekends, and is located at The River in Rancho Mirage at 71-800 Highway 111. Reservations for Acqua and all MTU shows can be made by calling 760-862-9800.

ABOUT RELAX WINES
