On Wednesday, April 20th at 6 PM, we have invited Jacques Caussin, co-Founder of Modernism
Week to give his very impressive presentation, “THE BIRTH OF MODERN DESIGN IN AMERICA”.
This 25-minute presentation will quickly fill up as this is a limited space/ RSVP only event.
We hope you are one of the lucky ones to attend this very enjoyable event given by Jacques who
has a very impressive resume. In addition to Co-founding Modernism Week, he studied
Engineering and Design and worked at the New York office of the French Line, the cruise line
that operates the S.S. France. Following that, Jacques became market research Director for
Peugeot Motors of America before abandoning the corporate world to pursue his passion for
20th century design, which now encompasses mid-century modern design and architecture. He
opened First ½ , a gallery in New York’s SoHo district and obtained national prominence as a
specialist of 1930’s American Industrial design.
