Elder Love’s mission is to provide care and support to older adults so that they can remain safe in their own homes.  They focus primarily on those older adults who make “too much” to qualify for any assistance, but who cannot afford traditional in home care.  They provide help such as housekeeping, cooking, shopping, errands, transportation, medication management, bathing, personal care and much more.

Founder, Shannon Shea, gave birth to the idea while she was doing her internship for her gerontological social work degree.  She saw firsthand how many older adults need just a little bit of care to stay safe at home.  Many of whom just need an hour or two of help a week with things such as changing the sheets, vacuuming or cleaning the bathroom.  However, most agencies have 3 or 4 hour minimum requirements and the hourly cost can add up fast.  She founded Elder Love USA with the specific focus of helping for as little as an hour with no long term contracts and no commitments.  Elder Love charges a modest fee per hour and the true cost of care is offset by grants, donations and fundraising events.  Shea said she intends to “revolutionize the senior in-home care industry.”
