Catalan Mediterranean Cuisine Announces New Weekend Hours and Debuts Brunch Service for 2020

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Dec. 23, 2019 – Catalan Mediterranean Cuisine announces new weekend hours, and begins brunch service on Sunday, Jan. 12, which will continue every Sunday through April 2020. The City of Rancho Mirage will host a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan. 10 at 4 p.m., to officially debut the brunch service and launch the new hours for the New Year.
Beginning Friday, Jan. 10, Catalan will remain open later on Friday and Saturday nights, until 11 p.m. Following the regular dinner menu service from 5 – 9 p.m., a specialty menu only from 9 – 11 p.m. will feature delectable Tapas and Happy Hour priced cocktails. There will also be live entertainment.
The new brunch service will be served between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Known for its elevated traditional Spanish-fusion Mediterranean dishes on the daily menu – such as the Paella Mixta, Bucatini & Guanciale, Pan Seared Eastern Diver Scallops, spectacular Charcuterie boards, and much more – Catalan is a favorite for those seeking a unique dining experience. The approach for brunch brings new life and fresh flavor combinations to traditional breakfast dishes as well as more unique options.
From delectable starters to delicious desserts, the menu features a variety of cuisine including traditional breakfast dishes with a flare, to savory specialties. Starters include Avocado Toast & Poached Rock Shrimp, Wild Arugula & Smoked Trout Salad, Burrata & Heirloom Tomato Salad, Romaine Salad, a combination Spanish Cheese Board, and a Fresh Fruit Platter. Main dishes are the Cast Iron Baked Authentic Tortilla Espanola, Rock Shrimp and Polenta with Poached Egg with Guanciale and Leeks, a Salmon Hash with Carmelized Onions and Poached Egg, USDA Prime Flat Iron Steak & Eggs, or a traditional Classic Breakfast, Classic Belgian Waffle, or Brioche French Toast. Also offered are a Serrano Ham & Chorizo Panini or a Smoked Chicken & Brie Panini. Side dishes are Warm Corn Bread & Honey, Maple Pork Sausage or Chicken Sausage, Nieman Ranch Crispy Bacon, Crispy Tater Tots & Goat Cheese Fondue, and Blueberry. To top things off dessert temptations are Valencia Rice Pudding, Chocolate Filled Churros, Blueberry & Mascarpone Empanadas, and Warm Local Apple Crisp.
As a brunch favorite, the service will also feature a variety of Bloody Mary creations for purchase, along with a signature Red House Sangria, Passion Fruit Margarita and Palm Springs Sunrise. Non-alcoholic Wellness Shots include a huckleberry, mint, turmeric, ginger and lemon; or a blueberry, orange juice, cayenne, honey and thyme combination.
