Rancho Mirage, CA: The Business Recovery Alliance: Coachella Valley is a group of local business leaders working toward the safe, successful and sustained reopening of the Coachella Valley. The team meets weekly via ZOOM to discuss issues, challenges and successes and runs a Facebook Group page which helps communicate business updates, links and timely information to local businesses and employees. Recently, the alliance has been launching a series of PSAs which have helped the community to safely support our local businesses.
The first safety and compliance campaign took place in June and July reminded everyone of the importance of masks, social distancing and household gatherings/community safety. The current campaign is called “Shop Safe and Shop Local” aimed at reminding people of remaining safety-minded and keeping dollars local rather than shopping at any business out of the area. The next campaign will focus on local and early holiday shopping.
Campaigns consist of a variation of the following: social media, radio, TV and print.
The goals of the group revolve around the supporting the safety and health of the business community, economic development and jobs.
