Rancho Mirage, Ca. – The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert is the beneficiary of an exciting fundraiser on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage. The fundraiser and friendraiser is hosted by Board of Directors Co-Chairs, Katie Stice, CEO, Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce and Davis Meyer, Senior Director Community Engagement, Visit Greater Palm Springs. The event is generously sponsored by Andres and Tajah Delgado, Las Casuelas Nuevas.
Hold on to your hats for a much-anticipated update for guests on the museum’s reIMAGINATION project as the museum announced their reopening set for March 25, 2024, after being closed due to the pandemic. The reIMAGINED gallery will feature new adventures as children navigate a wild noodle forest, experience painting with light, and test climbing skills on a giant net structure among the forty new exhibits, plus enhanced programming, and a whole new level of fun outdoors! Fundraiser attendees will also enjoy a margarita welcome and specialty light bites – all flavors of the Delgado 50-year family history of Casuelas restaurants in the Coachella Valley. The first phase of the reIMAGINATION project focuses on the innovative main gallery, new programming and camps, field trip programs, and increased accessibility. The hands-on gallery will be bright, fresh, and new with fun, educational and creative exhibits which will ignite imaginations! Future growth is also in the works for the entire discovery campus.
