GROOVES AT THE WESTIN SERIES KICKS OFF WITH BALLOON GLOW CONCERT
Enjoy the Sounds of Ron King Band with Vocalist Barbara Morrison
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA – November 6, 2019 – The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa is happy to announce their 2019-2020 Grooves at The Westin concert season kicks off Friday, November 22, 2019 with the Balloon Glow concert. Part of the Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival, the resort will be hosting a special Balloon Glow concert where a dozen hot air balloons provide the backdrop for a spectacular evening of music, and dancing. The concert will feature the sounds of Ron King Band with vocalist Barbara Morrison.
A Grammy nominated soloist, Ron King is one of L.A.’s top studio lead/jazz/improvisational trumpet players. He’s played for countless movie, television, and commercial soundtracks, including Academy Award Winner, “Children of a Lesser God”, and “Ocean’s 11”. Jazz singer Barbara Morrison, known for her melodic voice that carries a three-and-a-half-octave range, interprets familiar jazz and blues classics into her unique style, while also singing original contemporary tunes.
Tickets for the Balloon Glow event are $45 general open seating and include 90 minutes of an electric jazz dance party with hot air balloons in the background. There will food and drinks available for purchase that guests can enjoy.
The concert, which begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., is open to hotel guests and visitors. For Rancho Mirage Chamber members, there’s a special 20% discount available, please contact Katie Stice at Katie.Stice@RanchoMirage.org to receive member code.
